Spill Kit Training/ Spill Response Training

This course covers relevant environmental issues with spills, reasons for spill control, legislation, procedures, and emergency response action plans. It provides detailed insights into the principles of Best Practice with liquid storage, drain protection, legislation covering storage and handling of liquids including the penalties associated with breaches. Simulated Spill exercises are conducted as part of the course in a suitable outside location to provide first-hand experience on how to deal with spills.

Abrasive Wheels

The Abrasive Wheels training course is designed for persons who may be required to use an abrasive wheel in the workplace. This course is designed to provide delegates with a thorough understanding of the hazards associated with the use of abrasive wheels and to comply with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER), in the safe mounting of abrasive wheels and discs on portable machinery.

Course Content

Manual Handling

This course is designed to provide delegates with an understanding of potential manual handling hazards in the workplace and how to minimise the risk of injury to themselves and others by increasing their awareness.

• Associated injuries and their outcomes

Cable Avoidance Tool (C.A.T and Genny)

The Cable Avoidance (Cat & Genny) training course is designed on the principles of HSG47 which provides both Operatives and Supervisors with the skills and knowledge on how to plan and carry out cable avoidance work.

Course Content

• Associated hazards and risk assessment
• Interpreting Site plans and Drawings.
• Hands on use of Equipment.

Face Fit Testing

This course is designed for individuals who must wear mask at work to avoid exposure to COSHH substances, Dust, Lead or Asbestos. The COSHH Regulations state that the initial selection process for all tight-fitting facepieces should include face-fit testing to ensure the wearer has a correctly fitting device. Face Fit Testing is also required under the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations and the Control of Lead at Work Regulations. This course provides detailed insights on how to wear mask to ensure your own safety.

Plant and Vehicle Marshal

This course is designed to provide delegates with the knowledge and practical skills needed to safely work as a plant vehicle Marshal.

Course Content

• Understand the Hierarchy of controls related to plant and vehicle movements.
• Understand the risks associated with uncontrolled vehicle movements.
• Understand the roles and duties of Plant and Vehicle Marshal.
